About
Welcome!
Like many others, I was lost my first time going to college and entering the work world. I still don’t consider myself an expert but have learned a lot of things the hard way. All those times I wished that I had someone that would guide me. A mentor that wouldn’t be judgmental, and give some advice. Through many circumstances, some in and out of my control, I didn’t have that mentor.
I didn’t want to finish my first college education, but I pushed through. It was something I picked because I thought I was good at it. After graduation, I moved back home, where there weren’t many jobs in the field nor did I have the transportation required. I worked several years in a job not related to my field until one day I decided to go back.
This time, I am using what I learned the hard way to improve my odds. This time I decided that if I didn’t have the mentor I needed, I should be that for others. That’s why I started this blog.

Academia Assets’ goal
I am setting out to create the community that I didn’t have my first go at college. To be the mentor that I wish I had when I was in my teens and early twenties. I plan to use my second time in college to share that knowledge with others, while also reinforcing it in my own mind.
As they say, the best way to learn is by teaching!
If I can make it then anyone can, so come help foster a community of link-minded people that learn together much like a study group.
